Retreats

We are proud to have offered day-long and multi-day retreats specifically designed for the chronic illness and disability community in multiple cities across the country. The goal of our retreats was to give our community members in-person opportunities to connect with others who truly understand their experience. Our retreats were free of charge for our attendees.

Annual Chronic Illness & Storytelling Retreat

For five years, we partnered with Zeno Mountain Farm to host an annual all-inclusive retreat specifically designed for the chronic illness community. Each year, we brought 20-30 individuals together for three days in Vermont filled with art and storytelling workshops, healing centered workshops, and group yoga practices, creating a space to discuss our shared experience.

The retreat was free of charge for all participants. The space is fully accessible and accommodated dietary restrictions.

Los Angeles Retreat

In May 2019, we hosted our first day-long chronic illness retreat in Los Angeles. Fifteen members of the chronic illness community came together for art therapy, a writing workshop, a photography session, and an opportunity to connect with others who understand what is it like to live with illness.
